A new year, a new blog.
2017 was a year of ups and downs, like most I suppose. But there are some lessons that I am going to
take from it. To create a calm and balanced
life I need to be mindful of my goal for a simple and quiet life when temptation
comes. I am by nature a bit scatty and
tend to get carried away when something new, or interesting presents itself to
me. To keep me on the path I am hoping
that this blog will make me stop and think.
There are various issues that I want to address to help
me on my quest.
Decluttering
- My
small house is fill to the brim, so I need to address this.
Diet
- I
am way overweight, need I say anymore!
Budget –
There is a lot of room for improvement.
There are other issues, but I suspect that some will be
solved by working on the above.
January
Goals
My first step on my new path is doing what many frugal
bloggers are doing – using January as a month for using up the store cupboard
and frozen items. Doing this I hope will save some money and I can start
afresh. For February. January here is
also a month for bottling and freezing of summer produce. I have two plum trees that are nearly ready,
so I guess I will making preserves with them.
The first chore is to use up the bag of lemons I was given before
Christmas - Lemon Curd I think and a lemony pudding.
Second step is to find one object every day and box ready
for disposal to charity or whatever.
The third step is to mediate on what I really want out of
life and make up a list of my goals for this year – to be ready for beginning
of February.
I think that will do for today, if I make a long list it
will freak me out!
